As part of their support plan customers will be encouraged to take part in workshops. Details of current workshops will be published on the workshop calendar​​​. Workshops take place at various locations and full details will be given when you book.

All our workshops are free to attend. Anyone in the London Borough of Barnet can take part - you do not need to be getting support from Outreach Barnet.


Anger Management Workshop

Presented by Fin Lawrence

 

July & August 2017

 

This workshop is designed to provide clients with an overview about the causes and effects of anger, and steps that can be taken to manage it.    

 

Comprising 10 x 2 hour sessions (2 sessions per week), clients will:

 

  • Think about how their anger affects them (as well as others around them)
  • Identify their anger type
  • Consider why they have anger issues (roots)
  • Identify what makes them angry (triggers)
  • Look at ways to better manage their anger 

 

The sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Homeless Action Barnet between 1pm and 3pm on the dates shown below.  It is important that clients attend on a regular basis in order to get the most from the workshop.  The workshop will be limited to 8 places, and each client will undergo a short telephone assessment prior to being accepted for the workshop. 

 

Session dates: July: 18th; 20th; 25th & 27th August: 1st; 3rd; 8th; 10th; 15th & 17th

Emotional Wellbeing workshop 

Emotional Wellbeing Course helps you to free yourself from emotional turmoil and move up the ladder. A positive emotional wellbeing enables us to face the daily challenges in a more constructive manner within the society. Join us as we enlighten ourselves on how to manage and cope with the daily emotional challenges.

Outreach Barnet is running a free 6 weeks training program on Emotional wellbeing

Art n' Craft Workshop 

This is a great opportunity for people who have always been interested in art and craft. It is a fun workshop that will introduce you to a wide variety of techniques to help will improve your artistic skills and give you more confidence. Suitable to all level. Do not hesitate to talk to your tutor if you have a project you need help materialise.
